That day, Amnay Idir was to become a Roman soldier, and his name would be romanized into Amnius Idirius. Alone as he faced his destiny, he moved toward the Forum in the heart of Volubilis where commercial and administrative activities took place. He registered in the cavalry regiment of the Roman army.
